Greetings WUSD # 2: There is an Internet and phone outage affecting both the District Office and WHS. Our service providers are aware and are looking into it. The week of April 8th will be state testing. The 9th grade students will be taking the ACT Aspire test. The will do two test sections a day in the morning in the gym. Please remind students to bring their Chromebooks charged and ready to go. I will send out a reminder the Thursday before testing starts.

A reminder that testing season is upon us. Next Wednesday, March 27th, from 8:00am until lunch you will be taking the AzSci state assessment. Report directly to the gym and remember to bring your Chromebook charged and ready to go. The ACT will be April 16th.
The WHS Class of 2024 held an election this week to ask students and staff at WHS to cast their vote on the Senior Legacy Project! The senior developed five proposals to leave their mark on WHS, ranging from a commemorative lock fence to a student lounge. Voters had to first register to vote, then show ID to senior class poll workers on the day of the vote. Students received an "I Voted" sticker and got to participate in real-world democracy at school. The winner of the vote will be announced on Monday, March 25. Well done, seniors!

Information went out this morning regarding possible fraudulent calls to our community in regards to sponsorships and or donations for our Athletic Department.
Currently, our cheerleading program is involved in a fundraising program through “Elite Sports Promotions”. This a legit company providing opportunities for our cheer program.
Sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused. As always, please use caution while providing any personal information. If you ever have a question regarding any organized fundraiser, please contact the high school.

We have received information that there is a possible fraudulent call from someone claiming to be raising funds for our Athletics Department. We are currently investigating if this is a scam, or something running through a unauthorized club. We will send out information confirming our finding as soon as possible. Please remember to be cautious when providing your personal or financial information to unknown callers.
As always we greatly appreciate your generosity when it comes to supporting our students and student athletes.

The Viking Golf team will travel to Prescott for a match at Antelope Hills Golf Course. Match play begins at 3 PM

The Viking Golf team will travel to Sedona for a match at Oak Creek Country Club. Match play begins at 2:30.
The winter sport banquet will take place in the Viking Grill, at 6 PM
